Ranice Tay is a performer, practitioner, and a voyager of the rushing wilderness within. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with an Honours (Distinction) in Theatre Studies, where she also received the Performing and Visual Arts Scholarship. Her journey has led her into working with various organisations and independent artists: The Silly Little Girl and The Funny Old Tree (Young People’s Performing Arts Ensemble), Benches (Poetry Festival Singapore), Hana (NUS Theatre Studies), Leaves (Passerby Projects). More recently, Ranice’s encounters with the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards, has led to intensive work on dramaturgy, voice, and performance craft.
She is ‘flying fox’ (creative ninja 🙂 at Sourcing Within since 2018, and is the assistant to Gey Pin in Sourcing Within worksessions. Ranice is also collaborating with Gey Pin on Dreamtalk, a practice-as-research work.
