That Day That Book That Fell (2021–2022)

Born out of a need for continuous practice-research, this work premiered at The Remembering Resource (II) [Theatre OX Traces and Archives], presented by Grain Performance and Research Lab. A shorter Time Edition was later presented at the Islands Time-Based Arts Festival .
The story begins with the Soul trapped within Time. The Book of Emptiness is at once brimming and silent, reflecting our desires back to us. Within the imagination of Time, the Soul leaps through unseen gates, encountering different layers of herself at every turn. Conversations unfold between the Attendant of Time and the Self.
What is real? Where do we place our reverence?
A journey told through poetry, dance, movement, and song, That Day That Book That Fell invites audiences into a contemplative exploration of memory, longing, and the ever-shifting relationship between Time and the Soul.
