Wandering Sounds is a performance of Gey Pin Ang in close collaboration with Nickolai D. Nickolov (a musician). This performance has developed as a partial fulfillment of Ang’s PhD in Drama by Practice-as-Research (2013-2016) at School of Arts, University of Kent. It has presented in UK, Scotland, Spain and Italy. The piece interweaves between theatre and music, vocal and instrumental, live performance and visuals. The research delves in a reflexive mode of investigation on the artist’s cultural source. Through the performer’s corporeal and vocal embodiment, “speaking-singing” resonates throughout the performance.
